3 Ways to Ease Menstrual Cramps
Updated: Jan 11, 2020
Gosh... I just realized I've broken the number one rule of blogging... which is to blog consistently. Eep. Life has been crazy. I started another branch in my business (The Happy Hormones Program) and that took quite a bit more time and energy than I anticipated.
I wanted to post today about 5 ways to ease menstrual cramps.
I'm a firm believer that no one should have to suffer monthly... whether that's emotionally or otherwise.
Alright... without further ado...
While I am a big believer that we can eliminate cramps altogether because I've experienced it myself and I've seen it with every woman who has done the Happy Hormones program... sometimes we need a little extra support while we are addressing root causes.
3 simple ways to ease abdominal cramping:
1. Take a good magnesium supplement. Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxer, as well as mood calmer and nervous system balancer- all 3 of which can become out of whack during our cycle or before. This brand is one of my favorites due to its absorption and its ability to calm the nervous system which many of us need.
2. Use a heat pack. An easy way to do this is to mix a bowl of rice with 10 drops of lavender essential oil, pour the rice into an old but clean sock. Tie off the end of the sock and toss in the microwave or oven and place over your uterus.
3. Try some stretches! Stretching can help to release endorphins that reduce pain, but also help to ease cramping altogether. Here's a great little routine to ease cramping.
